Indian singer Mika Singh, who is visiting USA and is expected to perform at music concerts, has drawn an online controversy. Mr Singh, while promoting his tour ahead of the Independence day of Pakistan & India (14 & 15 August respectively), updated his twitter stating that “on 15th of August our India got independence and on 14 August “Our Pakistan” had her independence”.

The twitter post attracted lot of controversy and Mr Singh was bashed by the angry followers for calling Pakistan as “ours”. Both countries celebrate this year their 70th Independence day and has a long history of conflicts and wars since the united India was given Independence and the country was divided as India and Pakistan.
